Breaking On the Curve:

Beauty BFF’s

We all have our guiltless pleasures when it comes to splurging on a product. Especially when it comes to beauty and skincare. There are a myriad of choices on what to buy, how much to spend, knowing if the product really work and do what it claims to do, and how it compares to others. I am a Stylist, and I believe in investing in exceptional products but that doesn’t always mean spending half your paycheck to buy it. If there are enough raves about a product and it is on the costly side, I generally will will splurge on it especially when I know it’s loaded with amazing ingredients that I can read on the label. A good rule of thumb when trying a new product is to always read the reviews first. A minimum of 15 exceptional and consistent reviews is generally a “good buy.” Second, try if before you buy it and ask for a sample before making your purchase.

KEVIN MURPHY YOUNG AGAIN Infused Hair Treatment Oil: This treatment oil is infused with the anti-aging ingredient Immortelle to counteract the oxidation and ageing process. Straightening irons, blow dryers and colour start the oxidation process which damage the hair’s cell structure and act like rust to decay the hair. It repairs split ends and environmental/chemical damage and leaves your hair intensely conditioned, smooth, and soft.

Trish McEvoy BEAUTY BOOSTER TINTED MOISTURIZER SPF 20: By far THE BEST tinted moisturizer on the market! It’s loaded with antioxidants and hyaluronic acid, and is lightweight, ultra hydrating, and provides excellent coverage. Love that it has a built in SPF and paraben-free. My skin looks flawless when I wear it which seriously is everyday even when I’m working from home. I am not one for foundation, but this is one product I seriously can’t go without because it acts as a moisturizer as well.

About Amy Taggart, Shoptorial

Personal stylist, fashion blogger, entrepreneur, and strategic engineer of style, fashion, and beauty. I live in Utah with my amazing 7-year old daughter who inspires me everyday to look and live within her very visual world. I am inspired by what people wear (especially here...haha) along with the psychological aspect of dressing. My degree is in Psych, and I quickly realized that we are all shaped and fashioned by what we love even earlier on. My favorite thing to ask people is what their first prized possession was and if they still own it. As a stylist, I am all about upcycling your wardrobe as much as possible. When it doubt, don't throw it out! Quality over quantity.
